It had just stopped raining and I stepped outside to soak up the fresh air, yet untainted by all the flights that are going to resume next month. The sky said thanks, smiling a double smile.
The sun, I think, was happy too, retreating after an exhausting day.

Wow, the photos look and smell good! That freshness in the air, after the rain, is all too familiar. :) One of the best things of the Azores. That and the cagarras, have you already heard them?
They are drowned out by the moooooing cows.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful sunset! I love sunset and twilight. My favorite time of day.
Our sunset was behind clouds last night, but the clouds were mixed, white and grey, and some were moving very fast. It was ever-changing and very interesting to watch. I went back inside after a while, then glanced out a little while later to see the clouds glowing with reds and oranges and pinks. I exclaimed so loudly that my daughter thought I’d hurt myself, and came running. She rolled her eyes at me when I said “Look at the sky.”😂
I completely understand you!
I could sit outside and just watch the last hour of the day. And when I miss it on a day that looked like a good sunset, I am angry like when I missed my favorite show on TV.
Such a beautiful place…
