Venta Micena – Day 22/30

One early morning, on the way to climb the Sierra de María, I saw this table-topped mountain.

Tonight, it walked into the photo again.

I jumped into the car to chase it down, managed to stop it near Velez Blanco, but the mountain refused to provide its name.

I wonder if there is a hiking path to the summit. From afar, it looks too tricky/steep/dangerous.

This one mountain mightily adds to the Western-feeling in Andalusia.

About Andreas Moser

Travelling the world and writing about it. I have degrees in law and philosophy, but I'd much rather be a writer, a spy or a hobo.

    • That’s exactly what I was listening to on my MP3 as I walked through the valley last night. It got spooky as it got dark.

Jumped into the car? What car?

  3. I found out that the mountain is called Muela de Montalviche and that it’s really too complicated for me to climb: https://www.mendikat.net/com/mount/8607#
