Already when I got on the Ukrainian train in Poland, I noticed its patriotic coloring.
Once in Kyiv, the metro has the same branding.
And then I spotted it everywhere:
I don’t think those patriotic plastic bags are coincidence.

And in the spring, it’s the blue sky and profusely-growing dandelions that show off the Ukrainian national colours.
That’s nice when nature coincides with a flag.
It reminds me of Estonia, where we were driving on a snow-covered road through black forest late at night, yet the sky was still dark blue. “And now you see where we got our flag from,” my Estonian host said.
