Count the railcars, if you can!

Freight trains in Canada are really long. And the drivers are always nice enough to sound the horn when I wave at them.

It was the first time that I saw a train with engines in the front, the middle and the end.

This was filmed just west of Calgary, on the way to Glenbow Ranch. Long-time readers who are used to the crappy quality of my old videos might have noticed that I finally got a new camera.

Well, I don’t work on January 2nd, I’m not a freelancer. ;-P I had some time for myself so I could join you in the vast wilderness for a few minutes. It brought me back to the guessing game I used to play with my old neighbor. Each time we heard a train coming, I had to guess either its type (freight/passenger), its direction (seaside/mountains) or its size (the number of rail cars). Good old 80s. Enjoy the cats !

    • With that experience and talent, you could be the perfect hobo, determining if an approaching train is good for jumping on it just by its sound.
