Vingis Park in Autumn

With Vingis Park, I had a large urban forest just around the corner from where I lived in Vilnius. Now in autumn, I miss it even more. I never tired of going there because the color of the leaves changed every couple of days.

This is how it looked exactly three years ago:

And then it would become night.

I’ve been in Vilnius for Spring, Summer, and Winter. I have tried to imagine Fall. Thanks for the beautiful photos. I need to complete the four seasons now.

  4. Oh do i miss fall foliage!! The forest shot with the rows and rows of trunks is so worthy of being a wall poster!!

Hey Andreas, I find it really amusing watching you exploring my country and it’s culture. One thing is for sure, while staying in Lithuania you just have to visit Trakai, the Hill of Crosses in Šiauliai, the Curonian Spit and ,of course, Vilnius old town. I don’t know if you would be interested in this, but I suggest visiting some of the Lithuanian estates, which are like fenixes rising from the dust these recent couple of years. Here is a link to a forum with a map of estates: http://www.miestai.net/forumas/showthread.php?t=6760
    and an alphabetical list: http://www.miestai.net/forumas/showthread.php?t=6829

and here is a link to a gallery of photos of Lithuania from a photo album “Neregėta Lietuva” (Unseen Lithuania) which i suppose might be a great gift to share lithuanian beauty with your relatives or friends:)
