This little bird flew through the open door and made itself comfortable in my office while I was gone for a shower. When I returned to my desk, it didn’t want to move away and simply remained there, right next to me – until I finally took a photo of it; as if that had exactly been the purpose of the visit.

Wow! I wonder what made the bird fly inside and why it was so unafraid.
Looks like a fledgling, perhaps just first time out of the nest and was exhausted. Just stopped in for a rest. BTW did you ever get to see your baby pigeon again?
Yes, it looked/seemed exhausted/overwhelmed and like it needed a break.
The baby pigeon grew up quickly, the whole family left the nest, but I still see them around from time to time. They like to return to my balcony and hide here when there is heavy rain.
