Actually, I DO get the joke. I just really wonder, whether it be Catalonia, the Basque region, Quebec, or even our own … well, morons … in Texas, if these secessionists have really thought things through? I think Quebec has all the independence it needs, I’d have to ask if Catalonia REALLY wants to set up a country from scratch (or just get to write its’ own laws as a part of Spain’s infrastructure), and I KNOW the Texans dream of “The Republic Of Texas”, all the while begging more and more Federal funding for roads, schools, and of course, our great national pastime, attempting to control illegal immigration. (Though I’ve said the same thing for both Teas and Quebec – let ’em go, cut ’em off COMPLETELY from Federal funding, then watch how fast they come running back! :D )
