The Flatshare Diet

If you need to lose some pounds, you don’t need to worry about the carbon diet, the fiber diet, the water diet, the protein diet or all the other semi-scientific dietary cons anymore.

I have discovered the guaranteed way to lose weight and I call it the Flatshare Diet.

It consists of two simple steps:

fridge full(1) Move to an apartment or a house shared with other people. The more the better. When you move there, the fridge will already be completely full and there will be no place left for you to store any food (at least based on my current experience).

Thus, you will stop buying food, and consequently you will stop eating food.

(2) Avoid making up for this shortfall by eating fast food or junk food.

I am still at stage (1).

(Natürlich gibt es diesen wertvollen Tipp auch auf Deutsch.)

Stage (3) realize that if some of the food in the fridge gets accidentally eaten, the flatmates will probably not know who ate it.

Wow, that is one neatly organized fridge. I don’t think i have ever seen a fridge in an American home in such a state of orderliness.

If you could find room for your own food in a flatshare fridge, you`d most likeky go hungry because the others would steal your food!

    • Good point. That happened to me all tge time when I lived in Malta. But to be fair, my flatmates eventually always replaced my stuff, even in larger quantity and better quality.
