Smoke & Clouds

It was hard to tell where the smoke ends and the clouds begin.

With the right sky as a background, even a polluting factory can look good.

  1. Could be worse. There was an electrical generating station in Northwest Indiana, that used nuclear-plant style cooling towers, despite being conventionally fired. People complained about the “dangerous emissions” from the cooling towers – yeah, steam. Hot water. To go with their hot air! ;) :D

    Well, actually it is the power plant which provides hot water for most of Vilnius.
    Moreover, this unit (as seen on picture), fires biomass (wood chips) and the flue gas is cleaned by electrostatic filters :)
