This is Sisi, my friends’ cat that I am currently watching in Vienna. She is clearly suffering from the heatwave, too. Her advice in this kind of weather: “Don’t move. Sleep as much as possible. And don’t go to work.”

I think cats use the same exact method to deal with any weather.
I could actually tell a difference in her behavior between the normal summer days and the very hot days. On the latter, she visibly suffered and hardly ate.
