All photos were taken on Plaza 14 de Septiembre in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Obviously, anyone with a tripod could do a better job. If you want to know when the next full moon is, just ask one of the Incas. They know this stuff.

Wow! I loved the photos.. I can imagine how beautiful it was.
I will post more photos of the whole square soon. It’s a beautiful place, particularly in the evening. And the newspaper kiosks and cigar shops are right there, as well as a café with good cake. Everything that I need in one place.
Time to add to your resume, Andreas–time traveler, because though a few descendants exist, the empire of the Incas is obviously long gone. Btw–I’ve got a mini tripod that can handle a 35mm slr. that is essentially a mount on bendable legs that fits easily in a shirt pocket you could probably find in La Cancha for a few Bs. Would turn nice photos into great ones on the cheap!

Yeah, I have seen these mini tripods and they look practical. But then it’s so rare that I photograph the full moon and I am always reluctant to buy more stuff.
Obviously the Inca Empire has folded, but I am not sure the Incas as people have disappeared. The language is still spoken, some of the religious cults are still alive, and in the rural areas some of the organizing principles of the Incas are still present.
But this is an idea I am just beginning to develop, so I am absolutely not sure yet about my opinion.
